Covid-19 – 4th April 2020

HANBURY PARISH COUNCIL 4th April 2020

Due to the current circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus and the government advice regarding Social Distancing and gatherings, the Councillors have had no choice other to cancel the Parish Council meeting scheduled for 6th April 2020.

Furthermore, changes will be applied to the organisation of the Annual Parish Council Meeting. This meeting will go ahead as planned on Monday 4th May, but will have a much reduced agenda, focussing on the mandatory agenda items which must be raised and discussed to ensure the Parish Council continues to meet its legal obligations.

The meeting will be convened using a video conference system, and as such there will not be the opportunity for Parishioners to join the meeting to observe or contribute – it is simply not practical. However, once the government restrictions on movement and gathering are relaxed or amended, Parishioners will, once again, be invited to attend the Public Forum within future Parish Council meetings.

The minutes of the APCM and the ordinary meetings will be published as usual on the noticeboards and on the website. If there are any items specific to the APCM or any additional briefing required on any item which Parishioners wish to raise then there will of course be the opportunity to arrange this via the Parish Clerk or any of the Councillors. Also please be aware we also have “Hanbury Helpers Support Group” for the vulnerable and isolated parishioners if you require anything please call Claire Desideri on 07795 144529 there are 17 volunteers in the group willing to help
with shopping, medication, appointments etc.

The Councillors wish to thank you for your patience and understanding at this difficult time, and we hope that you and all your families remain safe and well. For any items to go on future Agenda’s or any issues please Contact the Parish Council hanburyparishcouncil@live.co.uk or 01283 820420 Clerk of the Parish
