Parish Magazine – March 2021

An update from Hanbury Parish Councillors for the parish magazine:-

We have received notification that PC Rich Lymer, pictured above at the 75th Anniversary of the Fauld Expolsion and the Neighbourhood Beat Manager for Barton and Needwood, is moving onto pastures new. Rich has been successful in an application to join the Staffordshire Police Road Policing Unit and will be joining them as of Monday 1st March 2021. His last working day as the Neighbourhood Beat Manager will be Saturday 20th February 2021 although this is still pending confirmation.

Rich took up this role in July 2018 and has now served nearly twenty one years’ between Uttoxeter & Burton Police Station. Rich thanks you all for your help, assistance and commitment. Without our help and support he wouldn’t have been able to achieve the things he did whilst he was in role and says that in the years we have worked together we have faced some testing and challenging times, never more so than in the current climate. Rich always tried his hardest to do the best he could to deliver a quality product to the community he served and has left a positive and lasting impression. We wish Rich well in his new role.

PCSO 27951 Tim LEATHERS will remain in post as the Barton & Needwood Neighbourhood Police Community Support Officer and  PC 5342 Lee PARDEN will be coming over to Uttoxeter Police Station to provide cover. PC Parden is a vastly experienced Police Officer and is currently the Tutbury and Rolleston Neighbourhood Beat Manager. The area of Barton and Needwood will still be covered on a 24/7 basis by our response teams and the responsibility for local policing will be picked up by PC Parden and also the other Police Officers stationed at both Burton and Uttoxeter Police Station.

If you require any help or support from the Police you should contact PCSO Leathers, utilise either 101 or digital 101 or visit www.staffordshire.police.uk

The next Parish Council meeting will be held via Zoom on Monday 8th March 2021.  In the meantime stay safe everyone.
