An update from Hanbury Parish Council
The council are delighted to have welcomed a new councillor, Bonita Philips and look forward to working with her to support the community. We have also installed a new notice board in the village bus shelter detailing what is happening in the Parish Council on one side and village notices on the other.
In coming weeks this notice board will feature a poster looking for volunteers for the Annual Hanbury Litter Pick, taking place on Sunday 3rd April at 10am. The meeting place will be at the Hanbury Memorial Hall. Please join us and if you have any litter picking equipment please feel free to bring that with you!
Councillors are hopeful of being able to introduce a reduced speed limit throughout the village ensuring a much safer 30mph limit. Please note that in recent weeks there has been an update to the Highway Code to better protect horse riders, cyclists and pedestrians. To find out more about this visit the gov.uk website, detailing all the changes in the hierarchy of road users. In this spirit, please be mindful when organising or attending an event at the church to ensure that no drive way or walkway is obstructed by parked cars.
Lastly, the council would like to invite all parishioners to attend the Annual Parish Meeting on 11th April 2022 at Hanbury Memorial Hall from 7.30pm. This is an opportunity to talk to the councillors about upcoming projects, raise any matters of interest and enjoy a cup of tea. We look forward to seeing you there.
