Did you know ?
That there are almost 19 miles of footpaths over the Parish area including Hanbury, Coton and Fauld? Isn’t that simply amazing and aren’t we incredibly lucky? It’s so good to see the walks being enjoyed so frequently and as always, councillors are incredibly grateful to the landowners who, in pretty much all instances, do a really good job maintaining the paths and stiles. If you do find that a stile is in need of repair or a path isn’t as clearly marked or as accessible as it could be, do please contact the Clerk at: hanburyparishcouncil.live.uk and we will do our best to work with the landowners to improve them. We do have some signage discs and some finger posts we can put in place where needed.
No sure where to go? Simple- you can pick up a Hanbury Village Walks Leaflet which are freely available from the the bar in the Cock Inn or from a dispenser in the Village Bus Shelter by the notice board.
Walking with a dog? Please make sure you always keep them on a lead when you are in a field with livestock and please, please keep an eye on them so you can bag any dog poo and take it home with you or place in the numerous dog poo bins around the village. Both the poo itself and the bags can be fatal to livestock if eaten. If we all do it, and remind any visiting walkers we see to do it, then we can all enjoy are beautiful lanes and footpaths poo and litter free ☺.
